JTL-Software GmbH, a prominent German e-commerce solutions provider, has announced a strategic partnership with Dutch financial services firm Mollie. This long-term collaboration, building on previous joint projects since August 2023, aims to integrate Mollie’s payment services into JTL’s e-commerce platforms seamlessly.
This partnership brings advanced payment options and a more streamlined shopping experience to merchants and their customers. The decision to formalize this alliance was influenced by the positive response from over 1,600 mutual clients.
A recent study by Google Omnichannel Future (2023) revealed that half of consumers seek a seamless shopping experience, whether online or offline. The Swiss Retail Association’s findings also show a steady increase in consumers opting for omnichannel retailers—8% in Germany and Austria, and 11% in Switzerland since 2017. These trends underscore the growing importance of a robust omnichannel strategy for e-commerce SMEs striving to stay competitive.
Enhancing Merchant Capabilities
By combining their expertise, JTL and Mollie aim to provide SMEs with customized, intuitive tools and solutions, especially for omnichannel operations. Mollie’s payment services will be integrated into various JTL systems, including the JTL ERP, allowing for streamlined transaction processing, refunds management, and enhanced reporting capabilities.
JTL’s comprehensive e-commerce solutions cover all operational aspects, from the free merchandise management system JTL-Wawi, to the marketplace interface JTL-eazyAuction, the shop system JTL-Shop, the mobile checkout app JTL-POS, and the warehouse management system JTL-WMS. This wide-ranging support ensures that merchants can manage their sales channels without disruption.
Omnichannel Payment Solutions
Mollie’s integration into JTL’s systems will enable a unified payment solution across online and offline channels. The current beta integration in JTL-Wawi supports refunds and simplifies reporting for merchants. The integration with JTL-POS allows for a cohesive omnichannel payment solution, enhancing the customer experience both in-store and online.
“We are excited to extend our partnership with JTL, enhancing the payment experience for our 1,600 shared customers,” stated Annett Polaszewski-Plath, Managing Director DACH at Mollie. “Our goal is to provide an omnichannel solution that supports seamless transactions across all platforms.”
Sebastian Evers, CEO of JTL, emphasized the collaborative benefits: “By working closely with Mollie, we can offer merchants and service partners bespoke payment solutions that meet their specific needs. As e-commerce becomes more complex, we are committed to creating seamless shopping experiences.”
The integration of Mollie’s services into JTL’s POS and JTL-Wawi systems signifies a significant step forward, providing merchants with centralized control over both online and offline transactions through Mollie’s omnichannel payment solutions.
