Ampere, the innovative neobank dedicated to providing comprehensive financial services for SMEs, has announced a strategic partnership with Mastercard aimed at enhancing its service offerings and streamlining financial solutions. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in Ampere’s mission to simplify financial processes for small and medium-sized enterprises.
With this new partnership, Ampere is revolutionizing the neobanking sector by enabling card-to-card payments that support over 60 different currencies. This feature promises faster and more cost-effective international transactions compared to traditional banking systems, effectively eliminating the delays and complications typically associated with cross-border payments.
The announcement of this partnership follows Ampere’s recent expansion across the European Union. Now, businesses based in the UK and Europe can effortlessly open an Ampere account, facilitating a smoother and more efficient entry into the EU market.
Founded in 2022 and based in London, Ampere focuses specifically on the financial needs of SMEs. It offers a variety of business banking services, including loans and financing options, low-rate card payment processing for merchants, multi-currency accounts with competitive exchange rates starting at 0.35%, and intelligent accounting tools designed to streamline invoicing, receipts, and tax management.
Victor Baron, CEO and Founder of Ampere, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership with Mastercard, highlighting the benefits for SMEs seeking a faster, more affordable all-in-one financial solution. He emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting businesses in the UK and Europe as they navigate the complexities of the global economy.
Kris Krupecki, Ampere’s Commercial Director, added that the card-to-card payment feature, combined with the neobank’s recent pan-European expansion, empowers SMEs to enhance their financial and operational growth through seamless cross-border transactions. Krupecki emphasized that in the current climate, where SMEs face numerous economic and operational challenges, Ampere stands out as a reliable, integrated, and efficient banking partner.
This partnership with Mastercard is part of Ampere’s broader strategy to form robust and stable alliances. In addition to this recent collaboration, Ampere has established partnerships with business loan providers YouLend, Cubefunder, and Iwoca. Earlier this year, the neobank also joined forces with brokerage firm Access Financial Services to extend its commercial mortgage offerings. These strategic moves underscore Ampere’s commitment to expanding and enriching its service portfolio to better serve its SME clientele.
